The first few days after delivery is the critical time for a mother to initiate successful breastfeeding. Nurses in the labor room and postnatal wards may feel like they lack skills to be the bedside resource for the mothers. This course will not only create a team of bedside resource nurses who will be trained to support the mothers during the initial days of hospital stay but also will contribute to the health of mothers and infants by promoting and protecting breastfeeding. We at Rainbow Children's Hospital believe that every baby deserves human milk and every breastfeeding mother deserves an empowering nursing experience.
