Dr. Mandula Phani Priya is a dedicated neonatologist and pediatrician with an extensive experience across different healthcare settings and passion for public health. She completed her medical education from Osmania Medical College, excelling throughout medical school, including winning a Gold Medal in Pediatrics . Her career has taken her from working in primary health centers in tribal areas to earning her MD in Pediatrics from AIIMS, New Delhi, and later completing her DM in Neonatology from PGIMER, Chandigarh both of the country's top tertiary care institutes.As an empathetic mother of two with firsthand parenting experience, including breastfeeding, Dr. Mandula Phani Priya deeply understands and connects with parents, offering both medically sound and emotionally supportive care.
Dr. Mandula Phani Priya has a strong interest in improving neonatal care and is a national trainer in various newborn care modules. She incorporates innovative teaching techniques, such as digital tools and simulation, to enhance skill development among healthcare professionals. Her research in neonatology has been widely recognized, and she received the prestigious Young Investigator Award at the ESPGHAN 2023 conference in Austria , Vienna for her work on insulin resistance in preterm neonates. Throughout her career, Dr. Mandula Phani Priya has presented her research at national and international conferences, addressing critical pediatric and neonatal health issues, including malnutrition, rare genetic conditions, and infectious diseases.
In addition to her clinical and academic achievements, Dr. Mandula Phani Priya has a diverse background that includes work in digital health as a consultant, where she mentored community health officers and supported Special Neonatal Care Units. She is also a published author and serves as a reviewer for reputable journals like PLOS ONE and Indian Pediatrics. Her commitment to evidence based quality care , leadership, and teaching, combined with her broad exposure to healthcare at all levels, make her a leader in the field of neonatal care.
