Dr.Prajakta had completed a Diploma in Obstetrics and Gynaecology from Govt. Medical college Nagpur followed by secondary DNB from reputed Fernandez hospital Hyderabad. She was trained in advanced obstetrics and gynaecology ultrasound at the renowned institute; Mediscan Chennai.
- She had worked in the Department of obstetrics and gynaecology at Rainbow children’s hospital & Birthright by Rainbow for a few years.
- Her special interests and passion for fetal care got her into the field of fetal medicine to manage fetus as a patient.
- She is working as a consultant in the fetal medicine department for 5 years. Protocol-based practice is her belief that provides appropriate and optimal care for the fetus and mother.
- She is capable of doing all Obstetrics ultrasounds including multifetal pregnancy and gynaecology ultrasounds along with 3D and 4D examinations. To date, she has performed thousands of scans and identified fetal structural abnormalities, various syndromes, fetuses with a genetic abnormality, growth abnormalities, fetal blood flow abnormalities and so on.
- She is a compassionate counselor. She conducts detailed counseling sessions which guide couples in decision-making, and to ease the journey of pregnancy.
- She has performed and assisted many fetal procedures such as Amniocentesis, chorionic villi biopsy, fetal reduction, intrauterine blood transfusion, etc.
- She has a license from the Fetal medicine foundation to conduct NT, and mid-trimester anomaly scans and is a registered member of the Society of fetal medicine India, ISUOG, fetal medicine foundation India and the UK.
- Her areas of interest are fetal interventions, fetal ECHO, and fetal neurosonography.
- To update her knowledge and keep pace with academics, she has attended many national and international conferences and workshops and presented various papers and posters over there. She had a few published papers in renowned journals.
