 Dr. Raghavendra is a renowned liver surgeon with more than 17 years experience in Liver Transplantation and Hepatobiliary surgery. He has performed nearly 600 living donor liver transplants, nearly 200 deceased donor (cadaver) liver transplants and more than 400 liver resection procedures for liver cancers and tumors. He completed his MBBS at Tirupati, Andhra Pradesh, MS Gen Surgery at PGIMER, Chandigarh, Senior Residency (GI Surgery) in SGPGIMS, Lucknow and MCh Surgical Gastroenterology in PGIMER, Chandigarh. 


He was involved in all varieties of adult and paediatric living donor liver transplantations for various clinical indications over the last 17 years with excellent outcomes. He was actively involved in research in the field of liver transplantation, particularly living donor volumetrics, living donor fat estimation. He worked on the innovative functional liver imaging and functional liver volume estimations before major and complex liver surgeries.



Dr Raghavendra published papers in eminent medical journals like Annals of Surgery, JOP, Clinical Transplant, Journal of Paediatric Surgery, Transplant Proceedings etc. In addition, he has several international presentations and an invited faculty at national scientific meetings and several institutions. He is a member of ILTS, IAP, IASG and LTSI.
